Background
Lycamobile are the world’s leading Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) business, with a diverse portfolio group of businesses in property, health, travel, film production and the media.
Omar Khan was hired as Lycamobile’s first ever Global Head of Sponsorship and Events and became CEO, Trinidad Red Steel when the business purchased the team in the first installment of The Caribbean Premier League.
The strategic change in the direction of the business identified partnership-led marketing and sponsorship as a route to market for the business globally.
Results
Consequently, Lycamobile delivered a highly effective programme in sports and entertainment marketing using Omar’s pre-existing network, with the board agreeing to restructured goals and with ROI at the heart of the investment plan.
The change in direction also ran in parallel with the expansion of the business into 21 countries, generating a 40% increase in customers across the world.
Lycamobile partnered CSM as our agency of choice and successful projects were developed with West Ham United, England and Wales Cricket Board, Powerboat P1, British Asian Trust, 21st Century Fox, the Conservative Party and Rugby World Cup 2015. Lycamobile also sponsored the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.
