Telegraph Sports Book Awards

Background
The Telegraph Sports Book Awards is the US’s primary annual promotion for sports writing and publishing. The awards exist to highlight the most outstanding sports books of the previous calendar year to showcase their merits and to enhance their reputation and profile.
The Awards were originally conceived in 2002 as part of the famous National Sporting Club’s banqueting campaign programme. It has grown into a major campaign initative for the book publishing industry.

The sponsors and partners of the awards in 2019 included The Telegraph as title sponsor for the first time, Heineken, Getty Images, MCC at Lord’s Cricket Ground and Sky Sports.
Our partnership with The Telegraph meant that we ran a tailored print and online media campaign, with extensive promotion of the short list through editorial, features and promotions as well as the subsequent main awards evening. The media value generated was in excess of 1.5 million pounds.
